Today while cycling in Sologne, we came across the delightful little village of Souvigny with its 12th century church (Saint Martin’s) and beautifully restored houses (see below). It is located about 70 km from Blois.

Yes, it has a “caquetoire” at the entrance where people used to gather to chat.
The incredible blue sky enhances the beauty of these buildings. Lovely day to be visiting.
We are always so chuffed when we get a really blue sky. Yesterday there was practically no wind which has been so lately.
I love that church architecture. It looks quite modern to me.
