I shouldn’t have been surprised to see Molière in Chambord because he was a favourite of Louis XIV. In 1670, the Sun King invited France’s most popular playright of all times to stay in Chambord with his troup where he wrote the ballet comedy, Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme known in English as The Bourgeois Gentleman).

That’s an interesting bit of history. I wonder if the playwright was much of a hunter ?! To me he seems to be too gentle a spirit for that.
I think his main job was to entertain the courtiers while Louis was off hunting. I don’t know how pleased the court was to be in Chambord in October. It was a pretty cold place to be!
