We walked out the gate this morning to see this sign waiting for us. Faucher means “to scythe” but the word has evolved to also mean cutting grass and hedges along the edge of the road with modern machinery.

Here they’d be inclined to put up an all purpose men at work kind of sign.
Ahhh, I am now dreaming of French road signs. And I am about 10% through my online courses !
