Our neighbourhood association in Blois, Les Amis des Grouets, holds a mulled wine and chestnut evening every December next to the local church, with roastde marshmallows for the kids.
Notre association du quartier à Blois, Les amis des grouets, fait une soirée vin chaud et chataignes en décembre tous les ans à côté de l’église avec des brochettes de Chamallows pour les gamins.

Toasted chestnuts – miam! Toasted marshmallows – buerk! Never liked them, even as a kid. Mulled wine always smells so inviting. I made a batch the other day.

@Susan – I’m not into marshmallows either but I love the chestnuts. I quickly converted “hot wine” to “mulled wine” in the text …
