At the market on Saturday in Blois, we were delighted to see that Damien, our favourite biscuit maker – his Sablés des Grouets are very moorish – has a new biscuit tin. And not just any tin.The Citroën H Van, Type H, H-Type or HY is a light truck (or delivery van) produced by Citroën between 1948 and 1981. It was developed as a simple front wheel driven van after World War II. A total of 473,289 were produced in 34 years in factories in France and Belgium.

My dad would get a kick out of those tins!
They’re great, aren’t they?
I love those old trucks. The glass shop below our apartment in Paris has one of them. I’ve taken lots of shots of it as you might imagine.
It’s amazing how long they last.
Hi,
Can anyone advise where I could purchase one of the H van tins of biscuits in England please?
Many thanks.
I don’t know but I’ll ask Damien where he buys his from. Maybe they’ll be able to suggest somewhere.
Buy from http://www.aucomptoirdesboites.com
Ridiculous prices being asked on ebay when you can buy several versions new on this site.
