I vote picnic shelter. It’s a great photo — very atmospheric and mysterious.
Now who would have put a gazebo or picnic shelter in there?
@Susan and William: It’s what the French call a kiosque (or bandstand). Liliane assures me that it’s not in a hollow. It was simply because of all the rain. I love the atmosphere too!
Fabulous shot. The water must have been incredibly deep.
