I snapped this photo as we drove through Blois yesterday. They were young people everywhere – you could tell that school’s finished until September.

It’s certainly going quickly!
Even at my ripe old age, I can remember the feeling of getting out of school for summer vacation. It was great. No responsibilities and all the free time in the world.
I was one of those odd kids that enjoyed school – but I still liked being on holidays. In Australia, the summer holidays coincide with Christmas.
I like that flowerbed above the stairs.
