As we drove over the bridge in Neung-sur-Beuvron today, I couldn’t help but notice this giant mosquito, a surprising work of art considering how annoying mosquitos are in Sologne with all its lakes and ponds! It’s called Imago and is part of the two-yearly contemporary art exhibition in Sologne.The artist is Régis Poisson.
En traversant le pont à Neung-sur-Beuvron aujourd’hui, j’ai vu ce moustique géant, une oeuvre d’art surprenante vu que les moustiques en Sologne avec tous ses lacs sont une vraie nuisance. Il s’appelle Imago et fait partie du Biennale de Sologne, art contemporain en paysage. L’auteur est Régis Poisson.

Yes, I was very surprised. Mosquitos for me are not art!
Just like the mosquitoes in North Carolina. Or almost.
I’m sure they’re exactly the same. When they bite me, they feel that big!
