This sundial at UNESCO World Heritage site, Jantar Mantar observatory in Jaipur, is the largest and most accurate (to within 2 seconds) in the world.. The observatory, built in the first half of the 18th century, has 19 main astronomical instruments or groups of instruments. All are fascinating.

This is an amazing place. I’ve seen it on the telly and I’m sure it was absolutely fascinating to visit.

It was fascinating indeed. The only drawback was the terrible heat! It’s unseasonably warm.
Do they change the hour forward and back in the year? That 2 seconds really beats our little sun dial in the garden.
