A little puzzle today. What are the three Rs in this photo taken in Vernou sur Brenne? Une petite énigme aujourd’hui. Quels sont les Rs dans cette photo prise à Vernou sur Brenne ?
So…it has to be something that works in both French and English, therefore I think William is right for the first two, and the third is architectural style.
I’ll add Romanesque.
Architecture ? Schools in the UK were always needed to teach The Three R’s- they are Reading, Writing and ‘Rithmatic.
@William – Roses is almost right – I was actually thinking of Ronsard roses. I hadn’t noticed the red.
@Helen – Yes, Romanesque.
@Susan – The third one is an architectural style too. But maybe I’m wrong. Is that not a Renaissance door on the right?
@Lesley – I should have known you’d come up with something like that!

Roses, red… and I’m stumped.
