Unlike Santa Claus in Australia, where it is hot at Christmas, on cold winter days such as this Saturday’s market, that beard is probably quite comfortable.
A la différence du père noël en Australie où il fait chaud à Noël, la grande barbe blanche doit être plutôt utile les jours d’hiver très froids comme samedi dernier.

He looks the part! I photographed a farmer’s market Santa yesterday.
I’ll pop over and have a look!
He was here last night, arrived via a fire engine. He sure travels fast. 🙂
He sure does! A real Speedy Gonzales. Though I learnt recently from reading Margot Lestz’ blog, The Curious Rambler, that he originally travelled on a flying donkey called Gui (Mistletoe) in France. https://curiousrambler.com/2015/12/18/mistletoe-and-gui/
I ran into Santa on the weekend and photographed him. He knew who I was, I had no clue who was under the beard.,
Ha! ha! Friends post their childhood Christmas photos on FaceBook sometimes and it’s so funny to see us all with the same Santa Claus at David Jones in Townsville.
I guess I must have been a bit naughty this year as I havn’t seen Father Chrismas.
Never mind, still a few days to impress and we shall leave out the cake and a couple of carrots on the front and open balcony.
