We went walking in Chambon-sur-Cisse today and wandered through the cemetary. This was the most impressive sculpture.

A very unusual tombstone, but I like it.
It does make you wonder who Céline was. The teacher? What date? Immediately pre-WWII?

@Susan – There were no other indications except a plaque on the back of the sculpture giving the name of the sculpteur and the year 1988. I rather stupidly forgot to take a photo.
I like it as a sculpture, but not in a cemetery. It does, however, lifts one’s spirits more so than the greys in the background.
