Only the stumps of our bay leaf tree are left but we have a lot of mulch and some firewood.
Our Covid figures are improving despite the fact that France now has 49,232 deaths against 40,987 on 11th November, an alarming increase. Loir-et-Cher, the area in which we live, has 4 people in intensive care, down from 8 last Thursday and 75 hospitalised against 80 on the same date.The total number of deaths since the beginning of the pandemic is 46 in Loir-et-Cher.

Le nombre total de décès en Loir-et-Cher depuis le début de l’épidémie est 46.

I wonder if the bay tree will put out shoots next year. Perhaps it may depend on it’s being dormant. Or some trees don’t, no matter when they’re cut, and other trees do, no matter when they’re cut. Gardening is always interesting.
