Jean Michel found us a mediaeval village for our Sunday walk this week. It’s in Sologne along the Cher River. The restoration work is very uneven but we spent an interesting hour or so exploring the historic centre. I’ll be publishing more photos in the next couple of days. This photo is taken from the other side of the Berry Canal built in the 1820s and reached by a drawbridge such as the one below which built a few years later.
Jean Michel nous a trouvé un village médiéval pour notre promenade de dimanche. Il se trouve en Sologne sur le Cher. La rénovation est inégale mais nous avons passé une heure intéressante à explorer le centre historique. Je publierai d’autres photos en cours de semaine. Celle-ci est prise de l’autre côté du canal de Berry construit dans les années 1820 et franchi par plusieurs pont-levis dont celui ci-dessous qui date de la même époque.
