I love the canola fields in spring but they are not easy to photograph because they are so flat. We went past large stretches today on our bikes. It’s a very common crop in France. My Dutch son-in-law amused me once – he thought they were tulips.
J’adore les champs de colza au printemps mais ils sont trop plats pour faire de bonnes photos. C’était un régale de passer devant ces grandes étendues dorées en vélo cet après-midi. C’est une culture très courante en France. Mon gendre néerlandais m’a bien amusé une année – il croyait que c’étaient des tulipes.

I’m not surprised and it could well explain my cold and mild headache today! I hadn’t thought of that although I did wonder why anyone would be building a new houses with canola fields on all sides!
