As we cycled through different villages on Sunday, we saw many war monuments still decorated with flags and flowers for Armistice Day.
En faisant du vélo dimanche nous sommes passés dans plusieurs villages dont le monument de guerre était encore décoré de drapeaux et de fleurs pour commémorer l’Armistice.

Could be Flagged and Flowered up for May 8th which was Victory in Europe Day after WW II.
Lesley, you are right – 8th May or Victory Day. Armistice day is 11th November and concerns WW1.
Very dignified. I visited our national memorial today and noted wreaths and flowers there that had to have been placed for VE Day.
Yes I’ve called it Armistice but it is actually VE Day
