Although it might look like field of poppies it actually a wheat field. we often see them when cycling but they are not easy to photograph because there is not usually a line of trees to define them.

Seeing fileds like this when travelling in Europe always makes me very emotional.
Yes poppies are always a reminder of lives lost.
