Postcard #8 – Poznan, Poland

It was a long day today – 500 k by car with quite a lot of roadworks around Berlin but we still had time to visit the main square of Poznan, Poland, Stary Rynek or Old Market Square while the light was still sufficient. The building in the centre is the town hall. It is one of the oldest and largest cities in Poland, with 550,000 inhabitants.
Ce fut une longue journée : 500 kilomètres en voiture avec beaucoup de ralentissements dus aux travaux notamment autour de Berlin mais nous avons pu visiter la place principale de Poznan, Stary Rynek ou la vieille place du marché, pendant que la lumière était suffisante.  Le bâtiment au milieu est l’hôtel de ville. C’est l’une des plus vieilles et plus grandes villes de la Pologne avec 550,000 habitants.
