We have found a more cheerful backdrop for our mid morning coffee at the Saturday market in Blois. Even open air cafés seem a long way off.

It looks a delicious breakfast, in lovely surroundings. But did you sit on the pavement to enjoy it?
I can see that it must look like our snack is on the pavement but it’s actually on a wall forming the edge of a sloping set of stairs.
