Loire Daily Photo is Back!
Ten days without being able to post because the website got blocked when I tried to change the URL to loiredailyphoto.com! Even my IT-savvy son couldn”t find the solution but today when he removed the removed the new URL altogether, it started working again.
The photo was taken on Saturday when we cycled from Blois to Cour sur Loire with its pretty little washhouse. This time the photo is taken from inside looking out.
Dix jours sans pouvoir publier de photo parce que le site web s’est bloqué lorsque j’ai essayé de changer l’URL pour mettre loiredailyphoto.com. Même mon fils informaticien n’arrivait pas à trouver la solution mais aujourd’hui lorsqu’il a enlevé l’URL le site a commencé à marcher de nouveau.
J’ai pris cette photo samedi lorsque nous faisions du vélo entre Blois et Cour sur Loire avec son joli petit lavoir. Cette fois-ci la photo est prise de l’intérieur.
This shady bower is covered in blue climbing flowers known as morning glory in English and belle de nuit (night glory) in French. The mansion on the left overlooks Château de Fougères. Someone obviously wanted to stay in full view of the castle!
Cette tonnelle ombragée est couverte de fleurs bleues grimpantes qui s’appellent belle de nuit en français et morning glory (belle de matin) en anglais. Le manoir à gauche donne sur le château de Fougères. Quelqu’un devait vouloir être bien vu depuis le château !

Isn’t this arch in the grounds of Fougères Castle weird? To Rosemary it looks like someone with their hair standing on end!

Yesterday through the archway, you could see some of these roofs and windows but this photo shows all the different sized roofs and windows to perfection as well as weathervane and clock.
Hier on apercevait quelques toits et fenêtres à travers l’arche mais ici on voit clairement toutes les différentes tailles de toits et de fenêtres ainsi qu’une girouette et une horloge.
I’ve already posted photos of Château de Fougères which is on one of our cycling routes but we had never been inside. It is state-owned and has been very well renovated. The court of honour which you can see here was built in the second half ot the 15th cetnury.
J’ai déjà présenté ici des photos du château de Fougères qui se trouve sur l’un de nos itinéraires à vélo mais nous n’avions pas encore visité l’intérieur. Le château appartient à l’état et sa rénovation est très soignée. La court d’honneur que vous voyez ici est construite au cours du quinzième siècle.

This year ,for the first time, I grew climbing nasturiums on one of our garden walls. I love the results!

This bike, which has good saddle suspension despite its lack of gears is inside L’Embacadère, a very friendly lunch stop in Vouvray. The sign says “don’t forget to turn your mobile back on again as you leave”.
