Today is the first official day of winter and we already have snowdrops – but no snow! Last year, the first snowdrops were on 13th January. We always know when the first frost has arrived – the nasturtiums capitulate while the sage lasts all winter. Last year it was not until 7th December. Nous savons toujours lorsque la première gelée est arrivée : les capucines capitulent alors que la sauge dure tout l’hiver. L’année dernière c’était le 7 décembre.
