I love it when things are happening at the market. When we set out it was raining slightly but by the time we got there the sky had clearned. This band was supporting blood donations.
J’adore lorsqu’il y a des événements au marché. Lorsqu’on a quitté la maison il pleuviotait mais en arrivant, le ciel s’était éclairci. Cette fanfare soutenait une campagne de don du sang.

The Apple Buyers – Les acheteurs de pommes
These two brothers were choosing apples at the market while their father was buying vegetables. When the father came back, the youngest said, “Dad, we took the biggest ones!”
Ces deux frères sélectionnaient des pommes au marché pendant que leur père achetait des légumes. Lorsque le père est revenu, le plus jeune lui a dit, “Papa, on a pris les plus grosses !”
As we were walking through the market in Blois, a green bicycle with “Les Grouets” on it caught my eye. “Les Grouets” is the name of our neighbourhood in Blois. We soon started talking with an enterprising pastry cook who makes and sells delicious shortbread biscuits. Now we buy a packet every time we go.
Lorsque nous nous promenions dans le marché de Blois, un vélo vert avec “Les Grouets” dessus a attiré mon attention car c’est le nom de notre quartier à Blois. Nous avons vite démarré la conversation avec un jeune pâtissier entreprenant qui fabrique et vends de délicieux sablés. Maintenant nous achetons un paquet chaque fois.

Very intrigued to see these French flags at the Blois market on Saturday. I don’t know what they could signify – products made in France?
J’étais très intriguée de voir ces drapeaux français au marché de Blois samedi. Je ne sais pas ce qu’ils signifient : des produits fabriqués en France peut-être ?
Not many stalls at the first market of the year, but a bright blue sky. You can see the Robert Houdin House of Magic behind. Note the colour of the coats – black, brown beige and red!
Peu de stands au premier marché de l’année, mais un beau ciel bleu. On voit la Maison de la Magie Robert-Houdin derrière. Notez la couleurs des manteaux : noir, marron, beige et rouge !
We were delighted to discover that we could buy our favourite Italian delicacies on the market in Blois on Thursday and Saturday. The most senior of these three lovely ladies had come to buy goodies from her daughter and grand-daughter. She is the president of the Loir et Cher Franco-Italian cultural association, http://www.acfida41.com.
Nous qui aimons l’Italie sommes ravis d’avoir trouvé un marchand italien sur le marché de Blois le jeudi et le samedi. La doyenne de ces trois belles femmes venait faire ses courses chez sa fille et petite fille !
