This late 15th century flamboyant gothic doorway is on Chapelle Saint-Jacques in Vendôme, so-called because it’s part of the Camino. For those who are not familiar with it, the Camino de Santiago (the Way of St. James) is a large network of ancient pilgrim routes stretching across Europe and coming together at the tomb of St. James (Santiago in Spanish) in Santiago de Compostela in north-west Spain.
Ce portail en gothique flamboyant du XVe et XVIe siècles fait partie de la chapelle Saint-Jacques à Vendôme appelée ainsi parce qu’elle était une étape sur le chemin de Saint-Jacques de Compostelle.
